Unfortunately, there is no way to reset your Tile Mate to the factory settings. When a Tile Mate is first activated, it pairs with the Tile app account on your smartphone and there is no way to deactivate it.

How do I delete a previously activated Tile?
When a Tile is activated to an account, it cannot be deactivated. However, it can be transferred to another account. In order to protect your privacy, you can have the seller contact our Customer Care team using their Tile app account email address so that we can transfer the Tile to you.
What happens when Tile is found by the community?
When your Tile is not nearby or in the last place the app recorded you having it, you can tap ‘Notify When Found’ for your Tile in the app. Now, whenever your Tile’s signal is picked up by any Tile app or network extender, you’ll receive an automatic and anonymous notification from us with your Tile’s latest location.
What happens when you mark a Tile as lost?
Tiles are only visible to the registered user, and they do not contain any personal identifiable information on them. If you mark something as lost, another user’s phone can find a Tile, but it relays the information to our servers anonymously. The user never even knows they did it.
How do I reconnect my Tile after changing the battery?
Press your Tile button once. If it does not make a noise, strongly double-tap the button. This should play a ringtone and activate your Find My Phone feature and immediately reconnect to the app. If after pressing the button once your Tile does not make a noise, turn off the device for 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
Can a Tile be linked to two phones?
Yes, just make sure both devices have the most up-to-date Tile app version. Both devices can ring the shared Tile as long as the device is within Bluetooth range of the Tile. You can ring a shared Tile one user at a time.
How do you reassign tiles?
Ask the other person to download the Tile app to their compatible smartphone or tablet. In your Tile app, tap the Tile you wish to transfer. Scroll down to and select More Options. Under Actions, select Transfer Tile.
How many tiles can you have on one account?
You will be able to see all of your own and shared Tiles in the list on your app. Your device will still only be able to connect up to 8. If you are in range of more than 8 Tiles currently your own and shared, the device will connect with the first 8 is “sees”.
How long does a Tile battery last?
It still takes a CR2032 battery (aka a BIOS battery) that Tile says should last for a year. The other Tile products have permanent batteries that Tile says should last for three years. After that, you’ll need to replace the trackers.
