Your lifeproof phone case came with a small thin piece of plastic used to separate the front and back of the case. The slot is located on the bottom right corner. Insert the case key into the slot and twist it to begin separating the case.

The Lightning port opening is large enough for virtually all Lightning cables, too. Wireless charging and Apple Pay work perfectly fine with your iPhone X in this case.
Can phone skins be removed?
Yes, phone skins are removable. To remove a phone skin from your device simply pick at the vinyl edge until it lifts away from your phone (see image below). If your nails are extremely short, you may find it helpful to use something that has a rigid square edge to pick away the vinyl.
